 Mikage (who is called |
| "Francoise" by her husband |
| Tenryo) used to be a follower of |
| the Ryujoji School and wanted to |
| defeat Jubei II. However, unlike |
| many of her comrades, she not |
| only wanted to defeat Jubei's |
| successor but also wanted to use |
| the eye-patch for herself. She |
| thought she could harness the |
| power of the eye-patch for her |
| own purposes. After being |
| defeated by Jubei II, her life |
| changed completely. After the |
| defeat, she became the means |
| of communication between the |
| defeated people and Jiyu. |
| She is still a ninja, but |
| instead of fighting for the |
| Ryujoji's, she fights for the |
| defense of Jiyu. |

| She also looks strikingly |
| similar to Jiyu's mother. This |
| causes some confusion for Sai, |
| who misses his wife and hasn't |
| felt love in a long time. So he |
| falls with Mikage, trying to |
| experience this vicarious love. |
| Unfortunately, Mikage is married |
| to Tenryo and this creates an |
| uncomfortable situation. |
