Jubei was one of the greatest |
swordsmen in Japan, although his |
father never wanted him to be |
one. After accidentally poking |
out Jubei's eye, his father |
Yagyu Tajima (Lord Tajima) |
didn't want his crippled son to |
become a swordsman. But after a |
lot of hard work, Jubei became |
the best warrior in the land. |
Becoming a warrior was |
advantageous too, since Lord |
Tajima decided to get rid of the |
other fighting schools in the |
land. This caused some people to |
be very upset and in attempts to |
prove they were better, they |
challenged Jubei. They all lost. |
 |
When Jubei died, he told his |
assistant, Koinosuke, that one |
day he would be resurrected as a |
person who he describes as "A |
plump, bouncy, bon bons..." It |
would be this successor who |
would inherit the skills that |
Jubei took a lifetime to master. |
