Episode 4: The Road of No Return

We see the mysterious guy call out Shiro's name.

Introduction

Brotherly EncounterShiro, the Ruffians, and Jiyu rush to Shiro's house. It just happens that Shiro's mother is the head nurse at Hontsuru Hospital. She helps cure Bantaro, assuring them that he's okay. Shiro explains that he was only injured by the shockwave of the sword, not from contact. Jiyu explains that she's relieved that Bantaro is alright, but has forgotten his name.

I Don't Want It!Shiro then spots the mysterious guy outside. We then discover that Hajime, the mysterious character, is Shiro's twin brother. Hajime asks him to rejoin the clan and defeat Jubei II. Shiro explains that he as no intentions of doing so, but Hajime reminds him that he knows Shiro has a longing to fight Jubei II and leaves. Jiyu comes outside and tells Shiro that she is going home. Shiro accompanies her and when he asks about the eye-patch, she says it's nothing and throws it away. She also tells Shiro to conspire and to say nothing happened that night. The eye-patch is flung into the river of sewage where Koinosuke was washed away.

Tearful MeetingA crying man appears before Jiyu and Shiro. It turns out to be Sai who is worried about his daughter. He then gets suspicious of Shiro. Sai then realizes this is the person he and the Ruffians smacked yesterday (episode 2) and hopes Sai doesn't remember him. When Sai mentions that he looks familiar, he explains that it was his twin. Sai then takes Jiyu home and explains that it is normal for fathers to cry when they're worried about their daughters.

CooksBantaro wakes up and Kozaru and Ozaru are dressed up as chefs cooking for him. When Shiro comes home, Bantaro yells at him for being rude because Bantaro thinks he's in his own home. The two others apologize to Shiro for using his kitchen and explain that the first thing Bantaro said when he woke up was "I'm hungry." Shiro tells them that they should forget what they saw today, but Bantaro becomes confused. Apparently Bantaro has acquired a minor amnesia and has forgotten the events of the previous day.

Intermission

Twins Shiro and HajimeAfterwards, Shiro reflects upon his encounter with his twin and goes to explain the history of the family grudge. Because Shiro's father didn't want to inherit the grudge, one of his sons was taken from him. Now with Jubei's reinstatement, he is confused. Although he loves Jiyu, he knows that deep down, he wants to fight Jubei II. To love thy enemy: what a problem. Because of this dilemma, he starts writing his thoughts down.

Meanwhile, the Ruffians leave Shiro's place and head to the Nanohana house where Bantaro is going to give Jiyu the letter. After dinner, Sai wonders where Koinosuke is, but Jiyu nonchalantly says that he left. However, she also wonders a bit too.

Gross GuyAs the Ruffians approach the house, they see this crudely drawn character trying to climb the fence into the house and impulsively attack the figure. The figure pulls out a sword and says he's Muyonosuke Tenchi (but Tenchi comes first) and has come to kill Jubei II. As he chases the Ruffians around, he swings and chops the power pole. This finally scares the Ruffians. Because the power pole is cut, the electricity goes out in the Nanohana house.

It STINKS!When she looks outside, she sees Tenchi screaming that he wants to kill Jubei II. When she comes out, Tenchi morphs into a full-sized human. Shiro then appears and tells Jiyu to use her eye-patch. Just as she's telling Shiro that she threw it away, Koinosuke appears from the manhole and gives her the eye-patch. But it stinks! After Shiro cleans it, she puts it on and transforms.

"Cop a feel!"

Once she wins, she faints and Shiro catches her. He tells her that she is Jubei II and has a responsibility to save the world. However, he will be with her all the way.

This pisses off Bantaro. Otome is pissed too.
