Episode 10: It All Begins Now
The story starts off Maho describing herself. She used to be the best in her classes until started high school with Yukino. Since then, all the attention has been towards Yukino.
Meanwhile, Yukino is contemplating her current situation. The girls in her class don't like her because of Maho and neither does Tsubasa, who tries to hurt Yukino whenever she can. However, Yukino is aware of this and always dodges Tsubasa's attack. Her nimbleness earns the respect of Tsubasa's friends.
In class, her teacher calls on the class to solve a problem. The only person who can solve it though is Yukino. When she does, the teacher tells the class that they should study more. After class, the teacher has a meeting with Yukino and explains that he sensed some uneasiness between the students in the class and Yukino. He asks if everything's alright with her. She replies that there's a little problem, but she can solve it.
And then Arima catches up with her and asks her the same question. She admits that there is some tension in the class. Arima offers to go talk to the girls. Yukino tells him it's useless because they hate her for going out with him. This angers Arima. When Asaba tries to consol Arima, Arima ignores him. Therefore, Asaba gives Yukino Arima's baby picture. She loves it and refuses to give it back (and sticks it in her bra). However, she offers her own picture to Arima, but it's not that cute. Asaba joins the action and shows his baby picture with him surround by girls. In the end, Arima and Yukino make up.
Tsubasa is still attacking Yukino and is still unsuccessful. Tsubasa's friends are so impressed that they decide to invite her to join them for lunch. They admit that they were intimidated by her reputation to talk to her, but now they don't feel so shy. During lunch, Yukino tells them the story of her "fake" life. She also confesses that she doesn't have any real friends. She is then invited to join the group, consisting of four people: Tsubaki Sakura, Rika Sena, Aya Sawada and, of course, Tsubasa.
The other girls in the class start gossiping about Yukino's new friends. Maho is annoyed at this. Yukino's group of friends inform her that there might be a leader who is telling the girls at school to collectively ignore her. After some observations, Yukino figures out that it's Maho. She talks to Maho in front of all the girls and with Arima and Tsubasa listening on and asks why Maho hates her so much and if she's happy with what's she's done with her classmates. Maho gives her a slap and leaves.
Intermission
The girls in the class seem to be enlightened after a discussion among themselves and forgive Yukino for the faults that Maho accused her of. They confront Maho and tell her that they will no longer be used by her. Maho's own friends leave her too. Maho explains that Yukino was the first person to make her feel inferior and she's jealous of all the successes that Yukino has.
Yukino, however, is finally enjoying her life after that ordeal. She pulls out the purloined picture of baby Arima and looks at it. Tsubasa then appears and tries to steal it from her. She is able to shake her off by telling her that the picture has been in her bra. Tsubasa encounters Arima, who tells her to be nice to Yukino. When he leaves, his wallet falls out of his pocket. Tsubasa picks it up and sees the picture of Yukino.
In class, Arima realizes that he has lost his wallet with Yukino's picture in it. After class, she sees Tsubasa outside with something in her hand, going to he school's incinerator. She knows that it's her picture being thrown in. She then goes after Tsubasa looking for blood. Tsubasa tries to look for her from her friends, but they say it's her own fault. Arima and Asaba see Yukino chasing her. When they reach the two girls, they see that Yukino has Tsubasa cornered at a dead-end.
Yukino scolds her saying that Tsubasa should have expressed her love for Arima. Tsubasa says she's tried, but he's never noticed. Meanwhile, Arima is listening to all this, realizing that he's been ignorant all this time. She continues saying that because he didn't respond, she settled with just being one of Arima's special friends. She studied 13 hours a day to come to the same high school as Arima, only to find out that he's already got a girlfriend. Arima apologizes to her. After that incident, things turned out for the better. Yukino has new friends, she no longer has Tsubasa as an enemy, and managed to make up with Maho.
