Animage November 2000 Feature

Call it fate, but when I was going through storage where I had all my college stuff, I found that I had purchased this magazine. You see, I never really started collecting Animage (Japan's oldest and largest anime magazine) until September of 2001 because I really didn't have enough Japanese knowledge before to read it. But as you can see, this magazine was dated November of 2000 and it's of Love Hina.

The magazine has Naru and Shinobu and the feature is a 300 word dictionary of Love Hina terms. It only covers a few pages in the magazine though. However, it does also contain some fan-created comic strips, one of which I scanned below. To me, this one is the funniest out of the ones in the magazine. Translation is included below (Japanese is read from right to left)

Naru (1st bubble): Geez, stupid Keitaro is yet again a student who hasn't been accepted to college.
Naru (2nd bubble): It's quite possible that it isn't too late to go back to kindergarten and start over.
Motoko: That's clever, Naru! Great idea!

Keitaro (1st bubble): So here I am, Hinata kindergarten, Sakura class.
Keitaro (2nd bubble): I'm Urashima Keitaro.

5-year-old Girl: Hey you, let's go to Tokyo U. together.
Keitaro: Oh? I sense a new promise after 15 years! Lucky!
Naru: ...
