Episode 2: The Hinata's New Resident, Shinobu: Arrow Signs
Synopsis
Shinbo's feels like she has no control over and her life is very much like following arrows signs. Shinobu's mom has decided that she and Shinobu will move out and leave Shinobu's father. Despites being unpopular and lonely at school, she doesn't want to leave the city. When she goes out and takes a walk, she encounters Keitaro drawing her and discovers he's a resident of Hinata Inn. She tries to return the book, but it only embarrasses Keitaro.
Meanwhile, the residents at Hinata Inn are in need of a good dinner and head to the restaurant owned by Shinobu's parents, only to find that it's closing. They decide to throw Shinobu a going away party. At the party, they discover that Shinobu's an excellent cook. After some convincing, her parents let her stay at Hinata Inn. Shinobu also realizes this is a new chance at life and starts to make good use of it.

- There is no explanation of how Shinobu ended up in Hinata Inn in the manga (I'm not finished with it though...).
