OVA Episode 1: Kanako

Synopsis

At the new student orientation, Naru's punch eventually gives Keitaro a broken leg and he can't attend school. In June, Keitaro's leg has healed and he now says he wants to travel the world like Seta. In July, the girls give him a farewell party at the airport. Naru is absent, but Keitaro meets up with her later and says he still loves her. But still leaves.

At the end of August, a new person comes to Hinata Inn. Both Shinobu and Naru wonder why Keitaro hasn't written, but on that same day, Mutsumi picks up a letter from Keitaro. Later that day, Motoko, Kitsune, Su, Sarah, and Shinobu all get unfavorably bothered by "Naru." In retaliation, they chase after Naru. When Naru escapes to Keitaro's room, she sees "Naru" there and becomes confused. "Naru" tells Naru that she's the promised girl.

At the hot springs, the other girls finally realize there are two Narus at which time it's revealed at "Naru" is Kanako, Keitaro's sister. Kanako becomes the manager of the house, and enforces strict rules, one of which is that going to the abandoned annex behind Hinata Inn is forbidden. Of course, the girls go there anyway, and see Haruka. But Haruka is in fact, Kanako. Suddenly, a van comes out of nowhere and out comes none other than Keitaro.
