This is the first solo CD from Naru's voice actress, Yui Horie. Her solo career is probably in part due to the runaway success of Love Hina. While she has two CDs as of this writing, I'll only preview the first one because it has some songs from Love Hina (the second one doesn't, and I don't think it's that great either). The two songs that were specially remixed for her album are "Yakusoku" and "Happy happy * rice shower." While they are pleasant to listen to, I can hardly tell the differences between the ones available on Love Hina CDs and this one. When there are differences, it's very very subtle. The songs range from cute to soft, so it's very in-line with the types she sings in the anime, so if you enjoy her voice in Love Hina, then you'll probably like this CD. The only complaint I have is with the photographer who took the images for the CD booklet and LE photo booklet. They managed to make the usually very cute Yui-chan into a zombie-looking, emotionless woman. |
