After waking up at 1:45pm today, I decided to have a walk around the town. So I took the subway down to Grand Central and went to BOOKOFF! on 41st Street. BOOKOFF! is a used Japanese book and music store. It has lotsa stuff in there that could potentially be treasures, and that's why I go. However, I'm usually really uncomfortable in there because I've never purchased anything from them. When you go in, all you hear is "Irrasyamase!" from each of the store clerks, whether they're at the cash register or rearraging the books on the shelves. And so when I don't buy anything, I feel really awkward because they gave so much attention when I walked into the store. And on top of that, the clerks are SO talkative (in Japanese). I guess they're trying to be extra friendly, but I'm not prepared for that yet.
From there, I walked down to Manhattan Mall and bought the "Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within" DVD. While I was there, I noticed that they released Episode I on DVD, but we're not going to buy that crap! =) They didn't have Cardcaptor Sakura Vol. 6, but I got it at the 42nd Street Sam Goody. Yeah, I paid full price for you, but it's a LIMITED EDITION! I usually buy limited editions in stores unless the online place I'm ordering it from explicitly states "Limited Edition." It's better to just pay the 5 or so dollars premium rather than ending up with a "regular" DVD.
