Massive Influx of Inventory

I'm a tad bit flustered right now. But let's get started, shall we? I spent last night at a friend's place, sleeping on the sofa. Woke up at noon, and went to Flushings, which is basically a more natural Chinatown. What a wonderful day! It wasn't painfully cold, and was a really nice day to go outside. There, I remembered that I wanted to buy a really good rice cooker, so we looked around. We went into the store, and found the latest nifty model, which was the one I was looking at. Since she's a lot better at haggling than I am, I let her do the talking, and we talked down the price a bit, and convinced the guy to withhold the tax. I guess it was a good deal. It's a really nice rice cooker too. On top of that, I was able to use my broken Japanese too. Since we were in Chinatown, if we used English or Chinese (Mandarin), we could have possibly been overheard. So, when I was telling her how I thought the price was reasonable, I didn't want the salesperson, who was helping us, to know that I would have paid the original price (otherwise, he probably wouldn't have been so willing to lower it knowing that I would have purchased it anyway). It is very convenient to know more languages.

But, I also knew that I was getting a few packages, so I left right after buying it to come home before 4pm, which is when the post office closes. Got home at 3:30, found two package slips in my mailbox and went to post office to grab my packages. First one was from Amazon.com, which contained the first three volumes of Excel Saga. The second one was from CD Japan, which contained Hand Maid Mai #0, the intro single CD to Nanaka 6/17, and a T-Shirt. I was really stoked about the shirt. Originally I had wanted to order 2, one to wear, one to keep, but I didn't know if it was my size since it only came in medium. In US sizes, mediums are just right for me (actually, mediums accentuates my build), but since it was from Japan, I didn't know if it was going to be a Japanese medium, which is smaller than a US small. Well, I just tried it on and IT FITS! Here's what it looks like (images stolen from Pioneer's web site):

However, despite all those goodies, I got some bad news too. It turns out that Amazon Japan was unable to acquire a CD for me (it was a limited edition item, so I don't blame them). Anyhow, that was the downer of the day. But it's okay. I put it on my Anime Jungle watchlist, and hopefully they'll be able to get it for me. Since I've decided not to put up an Ai yori Aoshi page, there's no real rush to get it. Although, it's kinda of a pain since I'll have to wait until I get that one before I can listen to the other 3 CDs, which contain the drama tracks that starts with that LE CD. Because of that item, I was able to move a few things around, and cancel a few orders to reorder it with a discount (Amazon Japan is picky that way). All for the best, I think.

So tonight will be a good night. Not only will I have anime to watch, I'll also have tasty rice to eat! Bon appetit!
