There is no underlying story yet, and the series is half over. I have to say that I'm a bit disappointed, is this what happens when there's American influence on Japanese production?

First edition bonus includes a Mayu postcard. There are some trailers on the DVD, mostly for the soundtracks, but that's about it. Well, it does contain very nice liner notes with summaries and character profiles, including a special essay on whether Tina and Mayu are really friends.

5. 洋琴～ようきん～ (Piano): Mayu received a new dress from her fashion designer parents and so being eager to show it to Kaoru, she goes out on a date with him. Although she spends the whole day being a klutz, at the very end, she she has self-doubt, Kaoru asks her to play the piano, which is one thing she excels at.

6. 道程～どうてい～ (Step): Kaoru has to finish a report, but has been bothered by the other girls. Kaoru makes them aware of it, but they just bother him even more until Aoi raises her voice and uses her authority. There's a long drinking session after Kaoru turns in his work, and Aoi tells Kaoru that she'll support him whatever no matter what he wants be (in the drama CDs, he wants to be a lawyer, in this episode, he's unsure).
