Finally caught up with the current issue of Dengeki Daioh. The more I read this series, the more I like it. I'm still a bit iffy on the story, but I enjoy the character development for the girls in each chapter.
Bonus is just a colored page which features the same picture as the May Dengeki Daioh.
18. Tiny joy, tearless grief: A day and life of Claes. Wakes up, does gardening, plays the piano, watches a movie that she has to write a report on, and wanders the shooting gallery where the gunpowder is a nostalgic smell. A quiet, but melancholy life.
19. ミミ・マキャヴェリ (Mimi Machiavelli): Hirusha's mom has called asking when he's going to go back to Germany. Meanwhile, Toriella and Hirusha have been dispatched to protect Maria, aka Mimi, a daughter of Mario who is wanted by the Mafia. She gets comfortable with Toriella and talks to her about hobbies and boyfriends. Mimi explains that she has a boyfriend she'd like to meet but hasn't been able to do so as she's on house arrest. When Toriella and Hirusha aren't paying attention, Mimi manages to handcuff them and run off. She's quickly abducted by the mafia, but the other members from the social welfare rescue her and arrest the kidnappers.
20. トスカ (Tosca): There has been an increase in terrorist activity and they finger it to a general. They plan to assassinate him at the Tosca opera. In between, there's talk among the girls and their superiors about why Italians like operas, especially those that deal with death.
21. 「賢い蛇、純真な鳩」 ("Clever Snake, Naive Dove"): Joze has flashbacks to when he joined the military despite his younger sister's objections. Now that they've killed the general, they need to shut down his network. They manage to ambush a transport but Joze finds out that an old friend of his from the army is working for the enemy. He sets up a friendly meeting at a cafe, but eventually has to back-stab his old pal.
22. She is a flower that blossoms in bona fides: Mostly a flashback about how Hirusha wasn't allowed to go work in the field because his supervisor didn't think he could handle the crime that was happening there. Little girls were being abducted, raped, tortured, and killed. Eventually he gets paired up with Rachelle, a doctor, and they find a little girl who had just been tortured. Rachelle revives her. Present day, Toriella has dreams about waking up in her mother's arms (i.e. Toriella was probably that girl that Rachelle saved).
