I haven't had such a good laugh in ages. This album is so bad that it's pretty good.

Rather than listening to the CD first, I went directly to the bonus DVD. Like their previous CD, it contains a music video, a para-para version, and a making of. On top of that, it also has a special version of Ichigo 100% ending with Koriki Chushu, a pro-wrestler. The lyrics to the song are ridiculous, but that's kinda to be expected from a title such as this. It turns out that this song is a cover of a euro-beat song, "King Kong" by E-rotic. While the original is in English, this song is mostly in Japanese with sprinkles of English. The first two verses translated goes something like this (Engrish in all caps):

Hold me, KING KONG DO IT RIGHT
This city is a jungle ALL NIGHT LONG
I had been looking for you
This love will someday...

There's just one KING KONG HOLD ME TIGHT
It's the first LOVE CHANCE so
Please turn and look at me
Right now DING DONG MY KING KONG

So lyrics aside, this song is one of those that drills itself into your brain and stays there.

Anyway, back to my first reactions when I watched the videos. The first one is a regular music video. At the time, I was thinking, this song is pretty dumb. The lyrics make absolutely no sense at all. The dancing isn't as great as their first single. I was laughing the whole time thinking how ridiculous it is. The second video is the Para Para version. By now, the song has started seeping into my noggins. While this dance-only version isn't as good as its counterpart from the other album, it's still fun to watch. Still impressed with those 3 inch heels. The third video sealed it off. It has Koriki dancing in the foreground with the girls in the background. They have him dress up in a small shirt and speedos, enough so you can see his belly bounce around. I was cracking up at this point. Finally, the last video has the song playing in the background while they show behind-the-scenes footage. By now, I was already humming King Kong. I was also laughing at myself for becoming sucked in by these middle school girls. Quite deadly, this group is.

In addition to the original mix, there's a eurobeat version which is what the girls dance Para Para to. Personally, I like the eurobeat version over the original mix. There's another song on this CD, but it's not as catchy. Very heavy techno though. Finally, it has another remix of IKE IKE.

First pressing comes with a card of one of the four girls. Probably like everyone else, I wanted to get Asuka, but got Rina instead. Am a HINOI-OTA, now? I fear so.

Damn, can't get this song out of my head!!!

MRO Launch

Woke up extra early to go in and watch it. Picture taken with the new cell phone, but truncated to protect the innocent (aka my superiors).

いちご100% (Strawberry 100%) Novel 2Title: いちご100% (Strawberry 100%) Novel 2

Rating: 3/4

I have the first novel, but decided to read the second novel because I thought it might have more relevance to the anime.

This book is a novelization of the special Ichigo 100% anime shown at the Jump Festival last year. The story covers chapters 66~70 in the manga. There are some parts that are different, but the overall story about going to the countryside to film their movie is pretty much the same. Given that this is based on a screenplay, the story is a pretty fast read because most of it is dialogue.

As bonuses, it has plenty of screen shots of the anime and also comes with character sketches. Like many novels, there's also a bookmark included.

東西南北、夏直前! (North, South, East, West, Right Before Summer!): Junpei is has a dream with all four of his girls as he takes a little nap in the midst of writing the script for his next film. The day before, Aya was told that her story was chosen. The next day, Satsuki implores Junpei to allow her to be the heroine, but eventually, Misuzu chooses a girl she sees working at a bakery, Tsukasa.

クランク・イン (Crank In): In the countryside (where they go filming), the film club members start filming. Aya is going to arrive late, so Misuzu has Junpei go meet her at the station. As the two of them try to go back to their summer house, Junpei gets lost. The rain starts pouring and the two of them take shelter in an abandoned hut. Junpei and Aya have their awkward moment as the try drying their clothes and are half naked. Tsukasa gets worried and goes out and eventually finds the two.

湯けむりイチゴ色 (Steamy Strawberry Color): The girls have a scene in the outdoor bath. Afterwards, Sotomura explains about the legend of the nearby lake and how it's haunted with the ghosts of the broken hearted. As a test of bravery, they decide to go. Unfortunately, Yui stays back and Aya decides to accompany her so Junpei goes with Tsukasa.

ふたりだけの奇跡 (Our Own Miracle): As they walking around, Junpei and Tsukasa start hearing noises in the bushes. In their panic, they slip down the hill and end up by the lakeside with fireflies flying around. The two of them have a touching moment, only to be interrupted by Misuzu's "cut." Turns out that the two of them were tricked into believing the story just so that Misuzu could get the scene on film.

夏が終わる前に (Before Summer Ends): The next day they finish filming and go home.

I really feel back for all three girls, Aya, Tsukasa, and Satsuki in this volume. All three of them confess to Junpei in their own way, but as always, Junpei is ambivalent. I'm really surprised that Tsukasa came back though. I thought that after announcing her plans for after high school, it was over. It also looks like Aya and Junpei's relationship might be in trouble too with her plans for college.

No bonuses this volume.

Junpei made a decision! Way to go! Again though, I feel sorry for Satsuki, Aya and even Tsukasa. Satsuki really tries too hard and Junpei ought to give her a chance. I would. At the end of this volume though, Junpei is back to square one.

いちご100% (Strawberry 100%) Drama CD 4Title: いちご100% (Strawberry 100%) Drama CD 4 「南戸唯、とーじょーっ!!」 ("Yui Minamito Appears!!")
Original Creator: 河下水希 (Mizuki Kawashita)
Release Date: 5/27/05
Catalog No.: SCD-909136
Rating: 4/4

The 4th drama CD in the series and is excellent like the previous volumes. This volume focuses on the story when Yui comes over to Junpei's place for the first time. The other girls, namely Kozue, Chinami, and Sotomura's sister, Misuzu also have a cameo at the end of this CD.

Bonus comes with a DVD case sized pencil board with the same artwork as the cover.

1. オープニング (Opening): Yui introduces the CD as she's the featured girl on this CD. She interviews the girls (Satsuki, Aya, Tsukasa) about their memories in high school since she herself is about to attend high school. Aya explains her writing stories for Junpei. Satsuki tells about her going to the beach house for filming. Tsukasa talks about going to watch Junpei's film at the school festival.

2. 第10話「思い出の女」 (Girl From My Memories): Covers about chapters 39 to 41. After being dumped by Tsukasa, Junpei returns home to find a girl sleeping his bed in the nude. After some questioning and a flashback, he remembers that she's his childhood friend, Yui. After she gets properly dressed, Yui explains that she talked to his parents and they're supposed to go out to eat. As they're coming back from the convenient store, Yui tells Junpei that she wants to attend a high school in the area, so she's looking around and staying at Junpei's for the time being. Suddenly a few dogs appear and scare Yui. Back at home, Junpei tells Yui about his current love situation. When he's washing himself, Yui offers to wash his back. The two of them get stuck inside the bathroom.

3. 第11話「教えてお願い!!」 (Please Tell Me!!): Covers about 42 to mid 44. In order to buy presents, Junpei declines an invitation to a Christmas party as he's taken up another shift at the hamburger shop. Upon hearing this, Satsuki decides to work the same shift and miss the Christmas party. As they're talking, Junpei tells Satsuki that he split up with Tsukasa. After work, Satsuki gives Junpei a keyholder as a present and he takes a star ornament for her. At the shrine during New Year's, Junpei goes with Yui and sees Aya there too. At a cafe, the two girls introduce each other and Aya offers to help Yui study. Later, Aya comes over to tutor Yui but Yui takes the conversation in the direction of love. Junpei comes over and finds Aya's story in rough draft form and reads it.

4. 第12話「また会える」 (To Be Able to Meet Again): Covers from mid 44 to 45. Yui sees that Junpei is kinda close with a girl at work and comes to confront her. Satsuki and Yui get in an argument and have a food fight. On the way from home, Junpei, Tsukasa, Aya, Yui, Sotomura, and Komiyama meet each other on the street and decide to play hide and seek. At first, Yui and Junpei hide in the same place. However, when Sotomura is about to find them, Yui goes and finds another place. It's getting late, but they still can't find Yui. It's starting to snow and they're all getting worried. Junpei finally finds, scolds, but also hugs her because he was worried. The next day, everyone sees Yui off at the station.

5. エンディング…!? (Ending...!?): 5 girls end the show. 5 girls!? Kozue joins the mix. Misuzu and Chinami also join in. Satsuki is pretty angry that there's even more girls she has to compete with for Junpei.

6. クレジット (Credit): The cast say their names and characters.

7. SS1「こずえ初体験!?」 (Short Story 1, Kozue's First Experience!?): Kozue and Mai have a discussion where Kozue explains her fear of guys. Mai tries to help out by pretending to be a guy to help her overcome her fear. Of course, Kozue has her strange fantasies while trying to keep the conversation.

8. SS2「P.S.つかさより」 (P.S. From Tsukasa): Tsukasa gives Junpei a cake (sounds like it's in the manga, but I'm too lazy to find it).

いちご100% (Strawberry 100%) Character File 1Title: いちご100% (Strawberry 100%) Character File 1
Original Creator: 河下水希 (Mizuki Kawashita)

Release Date: 5/25/05
Catalog No.: LACM-4198
Rating: 2/4

I really like Mamiko's voice, just not for singing. The two songs included on this CD are soft ballads. The first song is Aya's ending theme to one of the original anime DVDs.

I actually like the music and lyrics to both the songs. In fact, the second song is written and composed by one of my favorite artists, rino. Unfortunately, Mamiko doesn't really have the voice to fill the songs.

The third track on the CD has a short and sweet Aya monologue.

いちご100% (Strawberry 100%) Character File 2Title: いちご100% (Strawberry 100%) Character File 2

Release Date: 6/22/05
Catalog No.: LACM-4201
Rating: 3/4

Tsukasa songs are a little more upbeat than Aya's. Like Aya's single, the first song is a character ending from one of the original anime DVDs. It has 2 songs, a Tsukasa monologue, and karaoke versions for songs.

I'm always impressed by Megumi's vocal capabilities. Her singing voice here is a lot different than the voice she used to sing Paine's song from FFX-2. I actually like Aya's music and lyrics better, but the singing is better on this CD.

いちご100% (Strawberry 100%) TV ED SingleTitle: いちご100% (Strawberry 100%) TV Ending Theme
Original Creator: 河下水希 (Mizuki Kawashita)
Vocals: HINOI チーム (Team Hinoi)
Release Date: 5/18/05
Catalog No.: AVCD-16064/B
Rating: 4/4

The rating for this CD is solely based on how damn catchy the song is. The song is sung by a group of four 14-year-old girls. Hinoi is actually the name of the leader of the group, Asuka Hinoi. In the photos and the DVD, they make an effort to make her different from the other three. Can you guess which one she is from the cover?

The ending song has a eurobeat feel (not that I know exactly what that is, but just my impression). There's the original mix, a slightly longer extended version as well as a karaoke version. The second song is equally upbeat. Both songs don't really have meaningful lyrics, but for this type of music, it's not really necessary.

As I mentioned above, this CD comes with a DVD. The DVD comes with three different videos of the ending song. The first is a regular music video, the second is a para-para version, and the third is a behind-the-scenes film with the music playing in the background. No matter how cheesy it may be, I have to give respect to the girls for being able to dance in 3 inch heels.

First pressing of this CD/DVD combo comes with a HINOI Team sticker.

いちご100% (Strawberry 100%) Strawberry DiariesThis review is going to be pretty brief. In short, this game sucks.

The story itself is okay, because it mostly follows the first part of the manga series from when he sees the mysterious girl on the roof of the school to the first valentine day during his first year of high school (48 in the manga). It would have been nice if it was a new story, but I have no complaints that it tells me the story for the third time (first manga, second time is drama cds, third is this game, and fourth is when I get the DVDs).

Like the manga, this story is broken up into 48 chapters, each chapter taking about 10 minute to play. In total, I don't think I took more than 10 hours combined, but I started this game in April and only finished now. Haven't had much time to devote to it.

The main rant I have is the the game engine itself. Having played through a few of these romantic adventures, I expected more.

The only positive I have is that during dialog selection, it tries to mimick Junpei's indecisiveness by having a time limit. For example, you're given two choices, but if you don't choose any of the two, it gives an alternate response (almost like a third choice). The other unique part of the game is a "movie making" mini-game, but it's pretty lame. Now for the negative.

There are voices for all 4 girls with the same CV as the anime and drama CDs. But that's it. None of the other characters are voiced.

There's no history, so you can't scroll back to re-read text. For someone forgetful like me, it's not very convenient.

You can only save at the end of each chapter, rather than at any time. And they only give you 10 save slots on the memory card.

The story path I took ended up with getting chocolates from all 4 girls (yay!).

The show is a special edition of the Ichigo 100% radio program hosted by Mamiko Noto (Aya) and Megumi Toyoguchi (Tsukasa). The guests for this CD are the two other leads, Sanae Kobayashi (Satsuki) and Nana Mizuki (Yui).

Not having heard the regular program which is broadcast as traditional radio, I'm not familiar with the various segments they have on the show. For example, they have a segment where the voice actresses act out a scene in character and are rank by each other. Depending on their score, they receive various gifts.

While not as entertaining as the Kiminozo Radio CD, it's still pleasant to listen to.

1. オープニングトーク (Opening Talk): Mamiko and Megumi introduce the CD with the OVA opening song playing in the background. (A co-worker was explaining how often he noticed the word "hai" is used in Japanese. During the two minutes for this track, the two of them say "hai" 25 times!).

2. いちごTea Time パート1 (Strawberry Tea Time Part 1): Sanae is the guest. They drink a tea called English Al Grey (something like that). They ask her about her experience playing Satsuki. Later, they ask Sanae some questions that she chooses from a question box which include what type of guy she looks for and her first love. She mentions her first love in kindergarten.

3. なんちゃってCM その1 (Commercial #1): Aya, Tsukasa, and Satsuki act out a commercial for this CD.

4. 甘いいちごはどう? (How's the Sweet Strawberry?): This segment has Sanae act out a few lines in character with a summer theme. She scores 100% and receives a blue, strawberry underwear.

5. いちごホームルームへようこそ!パート1 (Welcome to Strawberry Homeroom! Part 1): The three girls have a discussion about the Valentine scene in chapter 48 of the manga. Unfortunately, their conclusion is different from the staff members so they have to do a stunt. This time, the three of them have to be squeezed into a tight space. This ends Sanae's segment.

6. My Sweet Love Letter その1: Tsukasa and Aya read a love letter.

7. いちごTea Time パート2 (Strawberry Tea Time Part 2): Nana is the featured guest for the next few segments. They drink a red tea called "Rose Hip." She picks a question about her first kiss. She skirts the question. Second question has her explain that her first date was the first year of middle school with the captain of the baseball team.

8. なんちゃってCM その2 (Commercial #2): Commercial for this CD with Aya, Tsukasa, and Yui.

9. 甘いいちごはどうかな? (How's the Sweet Strawberry?): Nana acts out a few lines as Yui with a summer theme. She gets 100% and recieves a pink strawberry underwear.

10. いちごホームルームへようこそ!パート2 (Welcome to Strawberry Homeroom! Part 2): This one is based 63 of the manga with Junpei's birthday. Fortunately, their opinion about Junpei agrees with the staff, so they don't have to eat mustard filled hamburgers.

11. My Sweet Love Letter その2: More love letter reading by Tsukasa and Aya.

12. 甘いいちごはどうでしょう?傑作選! (How's the Sweet Strawberry? Best Selection): A collection of 4 letters from listeners asking Megumi and Mamiko to act out lines in character on several themes. While it's not 100% each time, they always get a gift like phone straps and stuff.

13. エンディングトーク (Ending Talk): The two of them end the show with the OVA ending song playing in the background. They ask listeners to write into their program.

Got a new cell phone! My service with Verizon ends later this month and even though I've never had much trouble with them, I dislike what they do to their phones. They cripple their bluetooth phones so that you're not allowed to transfer pictures directly to your computer, but rather, you have to use their service. I believe data transfer is also limited. Their phones are also pretty lousy feature-wise and I would like to do more than just talk on my phone.

Like with many eletronic items, the best stuff don't arrive into the States until much later. I had been looking at the Sony Ericsson S710a from Cingular for a while now, but that phone's pretty old (relatively speaking). I was then researching to find what's out now and I saw that Sony Ericsson has a new K750i out for the overseas market. Fortunately for me, I live in a heavily Chinese population and can speak fluent Chinese, so I managed to snag a phone and for a pretty good price (cheaper than the S710a). It's an import from Hong Kong, so it has English and Chinese for it's languages (as opposed to Spanish or French on local phones, which are useless to me). So here are some of it's features:

2 megapixel camera - I'm really spoiled by my Digital Rebel XT, but this camera is still pretty decent for something on a phone.

Charging by USB - could come in handy at the office.

FM Radio!

Music Player - Most phones can play MP3s, but this phone also plays AAC files, the files that iTunes encodes to by default. Since all my music is encoded in AAC, this is a big time-saver, so I don't have to convert my songs to MP3. Doesn't play protected AACs though. Supports Memory Stick Pro Duo (1 gig is the largest stick as of now).

Chinese/Japanese Support! - Most of my Japanese songs are tagged (by me) in Japanese. If there's one thing I dislike about domestic electronics, it's that they're usually not Asian language friendly. But, this phone displays Japanese so I don't have to rename my songs when I transfer them. Very cool.

Bluetooth/iSync - My address book and calendars are automatically sync'd between my desktop and phone (my iPod also has a sync'd copy too).

And like all of my gadgets, this one has a name too. 伊里野 (Iriya).

[8/6 Update: Fry's had a sale on Memory Stick DUOs this weekend, so now Iriya has 512 megs of storage. Could have gotten the 1GB stick, but decided that I already have an iPod.]

イリヤの空、UFOの夏 (Sky of Iriya, Summer of UFO) Drama CDTitle: イリヤの空、UFOの夏 (Sky of Iriya, Summer of UFO) Drama CD
Original Creator: 秋山瑞人 (Mizuhito Akiyama)
Release Date: 7/21/05
Catalog No.: KDCA-0042
Rating: 3/4

I'm a bit disappointed in this CD. I thought that it would be a full hour of drama, but it's only about 28 some minutes. The rest of the CD has talk by the four lead voice actors/actresses.

The 3 drama CDs here has the cast act out some memorable scenes in the novel that never made it on air. In particular, I love the 3rd drama on this CD. The radio talk is pretty plain though. Given how many free web radios there are now, they really should made the CDs a little more interesting. Despite that though, I think this CD is still worth it for the stories.

The CD liner notes has a lot of comments from various staff members.

1. DJパート1「園原電波新聞 号外!」オープニング (DJ Part 1 "Sonohara Denpa Newspaper Extra!" Opening): Intro song with Chiba Saeko and Nonaka Ai introducing the CD.

2. DJパート2「園原電波新聞 号外!」収録現場で… (DJ Part 2 "Shonhara Denpa Newspaper Extra!" At the Recording Studio): Saeko and Ai talk about voice acting for the show. The two of them start off talking about how they've known about doing the show for over a year now. The discussion leads to Saeko's recent haircut and their impressions of each other.

3. ドラマ「浅羽理容店 渡り廊下支店」 (Drama, "Barbershop Asaba, Hallway Branch"): Asaba is cutting Suizenji's hair when Iriya walks in. Suizenji decides to walk out so that the two can get closer (and hopefully Asaba and get some top secret info from Iriya).

4. DJパート3「園原電波新聞 号外!」質問コーナー1 (DJ Part 3 "Sonohara Denpa Newspaper Extra!" Question Corner 1): Saeko and Ai are now joined by Namikawa Daisuke (Asaba's voice) and Kamiya Hiroshi (Suizenji). Hiroshi's real voice sounds very different from his character. For this segment, the girls have the guys pick questions out of a box. The guys talk about about their characters for this part.

5. ドラマ「園原電波新聞 企画会議」 (Drama, "Sonohara Denpa Newspaper, Planning): Another unaired story from the novel. The newspaper group decide on what to do and what to name their newspaper. It also has the scene where Akiho beats Suizenji in rock-paper-scissors and while he's off getting food, Akiho explains her strategy against someone like Suizenji.

6. DJパート4「園原電波新聞 号外!」質問コーナー2 (DJ Part 4 "Sonohara Denpa Newspaper Extra!" Question Corner 2): It's the girl's turn to pick questions from the box. The girls are asked what they were in high school. Ai was the president of her drama club! The next question has the 4 of them talking about each other's personalities.

7. ドラマ「2年4組ボウリングバトル」 (Drama, "2nd Year, 4th Class Bowling Battle): (Unaired) Asaba invites Iriya to go bowling. On this excursion, she gets the nickname "Kana-buu." Story ends as they're having fun at the alley.

8. DJパート5「園原電波新聞 号外!」エンディング (DJ Part 5 "Sonohara Denpa Newspaper Extra!" Ending): Ending song plays with the four of them giving their impressions of the shows.

I think they should have established more of a relationship between Yoshino and the two kids. In the anime, he's portrayed as just a stalker, but in the book, he has a larger role and it's his earned friendship and betrayal that drives Asaba over the edge. It didn't seem as meaningful when the guy is just a predator. The way they drew him was different than I had imagined. I thought he would be a little older, maybe some gray hair. The station master, on the other hand, is exactly as I had imagined. Just one more episode!

Yuuko-rin! Densetsu no Head ends this week, the first of many long running series that come to a close.

I've decided to not do translations for Zetsubou-sensei's titles. They're all a play on popular phrases in the Japanese culture and its meaning doesn't come across in a translation (or at least in the 5 seconds that I spend thinking about each one).

New series starts this week, Umisyo (ウミショー). It seems like a pleasant story and I like the character design.

Negima and Rose Hip Zero are off.

* Summaries abbreviated due to backlog.

Overdrive: 10 Jam tomorrow: Mikoto is still quite obsessed with this "Kurosuke," the one who says he can outride Yosuke. At school, he explains this to a friend of his, Yamato. Afterschool, he sees the silhouette of Kurosuke and it turns out to be Yamato.

Suzuka: #68喪失 (Loss): At Honoka's family's shrine, Suzuka has a flashback to two years ago when she had a crush on Kazuki and regrets that she never got to tell him before he died.

Tsubasa: 85戦いの姫様 (Fighting Lady of Honor): Kuro is out of the race. Sakura presses on under the waterfall to the finish line!

Hamanaka Ai: 094桃色将来 (Pink Future): The various girls tell what they want to become and surprise Masahiko with random and out-of-context statements he arrives.

Umisho: 1: Kaname (male) is a manager at his school's swim club, but doesn't swim himself because of a mermaid encounter he had as a child. On this day, a father and a daughter arrive on a raft all the way from Okinawa to be a transfer student at his school. The girl, Amuro, is a great swimmer. Kaname thinks the two of them have met before.

Full Spec: 6 Flat Out: Arata wins the race!

Zetsubou-sensei: 12まだあげ初めし前髪の: To celebrate the school's opening, Kafka brings in a mental patient who thinks he's Commander Perry to "open" things.

Toto: 29ラクガキと土産 (Graffiti and Gifts): Kakashi, who is now representing the Man-Chicken gang, joins forces with Alice and fights Clock to obtain his Rabbit Pierce artifact. Clock releases two hostages of Alice's group, but kills them in front of her eyes.

Changing Now and Tantei Gakuen Q end this week. I'm more surprised out the latter because it's been around longer than I've been subscribing to the magazine. Anime research manga features the male and female lead CVs for Suzuka anime.

Rose Hip Zero still off this week. Apparently the author is recovering from a hand injury (probably related to drawing too much).

* Summaries abbreviated due to backlog.

Suzuka: #69本心 (True Feelings): Honoka finds Suzuka sitting on the steps, they talk and end up shouting saying out one doesn't understand the other's feelings (Kazuki's death for Suzuka and having a boyfriend stolen for Honoka). Suzuka later leaves to the park. Yamato comes running and finds Honoka who tells him where to find Suzuka.

Hamanaka Ai: 095 A Summer Vacation: The gang go to a public pool, Rinko forgets her change of clothes and Nakamura lends her some. Of course, it has a strange protrusion in the groin area.

Negima: 102時間目 明日菜・オーバーフロー!? (Asuna, Overflow!?): Eva wants Setsuna to win, so she won't lose the bet. During the fight, Asuna has a flashback and suddenly seems to be possessed. She brings out a real sword. Fortunately, Setsuna is able to parry and defeat her.

Umisho: 2: Momoko, a fellow swimmer, challenges Amuro to a swimming race. Amuro seems to be winning, but then she forgets to flip and hits her head on the side of the pool. Momoko wins.

Zetsubou-sensei: 13君、知りたもうことなかれ: Rather than having his students do reports, Nozomu goes on a rampage about non-reporting, ignorance, and despair.

Full Spec: 7 Over Haul: Kitazato and friend try to sneak into Arata's garage to check out his car, but get discovered. Later, Maki and Arata go to the beach to cheer Arata up. Apparently, he's still overwhelmed by the race.

Overdrive: 11 Know your enemy as well as yourself: Mikoto has a race with Yamato (aka Kurosuke) and loses. However, Yamato leaves him with some encouraging words.

Student Council: #31絆 (Bond): Hitsuji and Kaoru defeat their Valkyrie. Meanwhile, Toko and Naju are arguing and become sucked into a halloucination of when they were in high school, arguing like they always have.

Changing Now: Last, 完結!! そして日常へ (Conclusion!! And Then Back to Daily Life): Everyone returns to normal, non-super hero selves. Machina rides off with Crimson Bunny.

Tsubasa: 86栄光の旗 (Glorious Flag): Sakura Wins!

Toto: 30ウサギのスキップ (Rabbit's Skip): Kakashi uses Toto to fight Clock, but Clock reveals a trap door and both Kakashi and Alice fall down into the sewers below.

More Yuuko-rin! Yeow! Comes with a pull-out poster of School Rumble with back side a pin-up of Yuuko-rin.

Rave ends this week. Another extremely long series coming to an end. It started in July 1999 which is even before I really got interested in manga. There's also a one-shot war manga.

* Summaries abbreviated due to backlog.

Overdrive: 12 Little wings fly high: Despite having lost the race with Yamato, Mikoto watches videos of professional races and gets motivated again.

Umisho: 3: Momoko and Kaname go spy on Amuro, but quickly get discovered. Amuro decides to go swimming in the nude, and not to be outdone, Momoko does the same.

Negima: 103時間目 どっぷりと、謎が深まる魔帆良祭 (Mahora Festival Deeper into Mystery): Because Setsuna won, Kunel Sanders (I guess it's Coronel, like KFC) tells Eva that Negi's father is still alive, but that they might never meet again. Afterwards, Eva finishes off her opponent in one blow. During the break before the second round, Chao notices the mysterious man (Sanders) in her surveillance videos.

Tsubasa: 87笑顔の宴 (A Feast of Smiles): Sakura gets her prize, the feather. As the group talks afterwards in Tomoyo's blimp, the windows breaks and the cabin depressurizes.

Toto: 31涙 (Tears): Alice becomes depressed and wants run away. Kakashi convinces her otherwise and the two of them are back in action.

Full Spec: 8 Trouble Maker: Another drag race driver, Kajita hears about Arata's victory and wants to challenge him. They meet at an arcade where Arata beats him at the simulation game. However, it isn't until he goes outside that he realizes that the boy who just beat him is the person he's looking for.

Hamanaka Ai: 096受験合宿 (Study Camp): Instead of the library, the gang goes to Ayana's summer house to study. There, they find the life-like dolls of the other girls in Ayana's brother's room.

Suzuka: #70相思 (Mutual Feelings): Yamato finds Suzuka, but Suzuka wants to be left alone. Yamato takes the chance and kisses her before she walks away.

Student Council: #32隆介 (Ryusuke): Toko and Naju are back in their high school days fighting over a boy, Ryusuke. However, it turns out that they know their minds are being played with and end up attacking Ryusuke, who is actually a Valkyrie.

Rose Hip Zero: 11: Kyoji and Kasumi fight Kai. Just when Kai is about to lose, he injects himself with a drug to make him stronger and faster. Later, Kasumi seems to change too, as if she is revealing a hidden personality.

Zetsubou-sensei: 14私は宿命的に日陰者です: Nozomu is now obsessed with being a shadow person and talks about being behind the scenes.
